Word of mouth travels from one local to the next here in Las Vegas, they all say check this bar out! For sometime I have been told by a friend, and a friend of another friend with the one familiarity we share is calling Vegas home. With nothing else better to do and in the area I stopped in. On Saturday there is a cover for ladies here, a happy hour special that I happen to be the right place right time for. Ladies cover is $10 from 6 pm to 10pm, but for the gentlemen out there it's $20. This cover is an all you can drink open bar. The drinks are not the strongest; but all you can drink is worth a try. With the summer sultry heat outside I was sold. The bar inside has an atmosphere of the locals pub. Not very many people here this evening either. I walked up to the bar and had already shown my drivers license at the door ordered a vodka tonic. The bartender makes the final component of the local bar archetype; Moe from the Simpsons. Maybe? When I ordered the vodka tonic it seemed more tonic than vodka. And the look from the bartender said it all! I kept asking myself inside my head why not order a real drink. The next drink I did order was a glass of Chardonnay. It was not even any better. Feeling mentally embarrassed I wanted this bartender to know that I could drink well ; I ordered a Budweiser. Was the bartender judging me yes I believe. But when I ordered the beer his whole demeanor changed. I held all that liquor too and did not even get sick! I am not the type to go drinking in bars and sit in there for hours in a stool and drink! What's the point? But having the bartender tip his hat to me made my evening. This little bar located right off Sahara is a must see. While talking to the bartender he also informed me that they host many bands here to. Usually small struggling ones. It is always good to tip the bartender too, since they do remember this. After leaving my tip I waved to the bartender and headed out to the parking lot to home feeling really good!
