I remember waiting in line at the Halal guys in New York and ordering my chicken and rice with extra white sauce. I think I cried because of how much it changed my life so when I heard Halal guys were coming to Montreal, it was priority on my "to eat" list. I ordered chicken and rice. To my disappointment, the halal guys in Montreal are ruining the Halal guys name. The chicken is dry, rice isnt as flavourful, & the prices are ridiculously high ($13 +tax for plate) compared to the one in NYC. The red sauce is a numbing burning spice making it very unpleasant to eat (NYC's red sauce is heat and flavour). I eat EXTREMELY spicy and I did not enjoy it at all. Overall, it's alright but I would not recommend. If its your first time trying Halal guys, DO NOT try the one in Montreal. Do it right and go to New York City, it's 100000% better than this one.
