Another lunch and another trip to Island flavor. This time the original location in Durango. Today I had the chicken katsu loco moco. It is too good. It has rice, gravy, crispy katsu fried chicken and two eggs on top. My son had the kalbi ribs again and fried rice with a side of Mac salad. The portions are huge! Come hungry. Two dishes fed my family of four and we still have enough leftovers for another meal. The ribs were juicy, the heaping pile of fried rice was delicious and the Mac salad is always consistently good. I honestly have never had a bad meal here. The place does get busy but we were served quickly and the whole staff is always friendly and helpful. My coworkers like coming here every Friday and I join them sometimes, so at least twice a month we are here.
