Breakfast food & service were horrible. There were two other tables in the dining room when we arrived. It took 10 minutes for the "other server" to great us; an additional 5 minutes to bring our coffee & OJ. Have never been to a restaurant for breakfast when I have not been greeted with coffee. She never brought the water we requested. It took another 15 minutes to receive our food. Yes, I was watching the clock as we were on a schedule. We were going to have them bring it to us in boxes but there weren't any employees in the dining room to ask. I saw other guests get up from their table and walk around looking for someone to help them.
I ordered the Eggery Burrito which is described on the menu as: Two eggs with onion, peppers, bacon and shredded cheese stuffed in a warm tortilla. I received a "stuffed" tortilla on a plate filled with potatoes. I took a couple of bites & all I could taste were potatoes. I opened the burrito and guess what? More potatoes! Barely anything else.
I would have complained to the server, who never smiled, but she never returned to the table until we were on our way out the door. I had paid for breakfast when I made the reservation. I paid for a meal I did not eat. Horrible!
I will be returning to Phoenix a lot over the next 4 years as my daughter will be attending college there. I will never return to this Holiday Inn.
