Ever since I heard that Blushberry is the closest dupe to Pinkberry from the states, I have wanted to go. I love the concept, SUPER modern, and PINK lawn chairs, and just so fresh. I love the bright white interior, contrasted with the pink logo. A month or so ago, my friends and I went to Menchie's (frozen yogurt place), and I loved it! We planned to go right after Menchie's, but it was closed for the winter, not impressive. My friend said that if it closed for the winter, it's not a true yogurt place. I have to agree. I have to be fair. I went after dinner tonight, and it was 9:40, 20 minutes before closing, and if I were them, I'd be annoyed that people were coming in. It was just us. The store is smaller than Menchie's though. But, the gentleman who served me was very nice about it. He even packed the toppings on very gracefully. If some fell outside the yogurt cup, he'd top it with more. Onto the actual yogurt. This is where the disappointment starts. I had the new coconut flavour yogurt with coconut flakes, mochi and lychee explosion! I love the lychee explosion, once you bite on it, it explodes in your mouth! Quoting my friend, the yogurt tasted like a health conscious yogurt and for dessert, I expect something more creamier. I just got into a recent Mochi phase, and.. by the end of it, I had him pack on the Mochi, and... I was not pleased. It tasted a bit hard, and not that appetizing. Granted, this place is cheaper than Menchie's. But you get all the toppings you want for $1. You can't really beat that. It's okay. Probably won't be coming back soon though, because Menchie's is the best frozen yogurt place I have experienced thus far. I don't like how you can't pile on the yogurt and toppings yourself, like you can at Menchie's. I'd rather pay more for the do-it-yourself type of experience.
