Lin Garden was the first Hakka restaurant I ever tried and I still go back frequently. Yes, it's a hit and miss, sometimes the food is great but sometimes it lacks quality. The service is pretty bad but I never had a horrible experience with any extremely rude waiters. My brother actually confronted the guy that always sits behind the counter about rumours that the meat wasn't halal but he was very nice about it and assured him it was truly halal. He claimed that Lin Gardens competition spread that rumour. Overall, I still love Lin Garden! Their Munchurian chicken is the best in Toronto IMO. Also the price is great and they have a large sitting area. Recommendation: Munchurian Chicken Shezuhuan Chicken Munchurian Fired Rice Hakka Fried Noodle
