Despite the reviews I actually enjoyed the pastries we bought here and the prices were very reasonable. We ordered a couple of the mini Portuguese custard tarts with chocolate, a tiramisu and a donut. Everything tasted fresh and the desserts were quite rich. I particularly liked the tiramisu, the pastry cream was really light and the cake was moist. The custard tarts were good, although I'm not sure chocolate adds anything to these, next time I'd opt for plain ones. The donut was flaky, almost like a mix between a churro and a donut, it had a savory taste to it which paired nicely with the chocolate. We also bought a couple of buns but I haven't tried those yet. The bread does look good though and I'm excited to try the buns. The service was not bad, we were asking the girl behind the counter some questions but she was so quiet, I couldn't here some of the things she was saying, otherwise she was nice. Prices were reasonable, for a few pastries and buns, it came to around $8 which is a steal compared to lots of bakeries in Toronto.
