First appointment was scheduled incorrectly. They could only take one of our dogs instead of three. Re-scheduled other two. During the rescheduled appointment we received a phone call that they couldn't finish our larger dog because she was nipping at them. She's ten and we've never had an issue at a groomer before. Second call..... "your smaller dog has lice and we need you to come get her immediately." Okay..... I took her to our vet that second! Our vet Dr. Pruitt at For Peaks (he and his wife are AWESOME) said it would be highly unusual in AZ to have lice but examined our dog, scraped several samples and viewed them under the microscope. They were little particles from skin allergies. I looked at them as well. Earlier when we left dogtopia to head to the vet the groomer said, "your really lucky I found those." To top things off, I had to finish trimming our larger dogs ears and found blood. She was either cut or they brushed her ears too aggressively. I'd nip too. Grateful that we were alerted to our smaller dogs skin allergy but the presumption of lice along with instructions to disinfect my car, wash all my linens etc. etc. was a little nuts.
