first off, I LOL'd (no, really) when I heard my cousin takes her kids to a place called Waterworks, as my friends and I call this one really whiny girl we know "Waterworks". anywho. first off, this place is serious about security. all attendees must have some sort of ID, and even children have their own photo IDs. drivers licenses/permits and other gov't IDs for adults are scanned, and while I'm a raging anti-government type, I also understand the need to keep child predators and other assorted folks out of these places. lots of areas to cool off and relax, though it is also (predictably) filled with children, so much of it is shallow. there are some deep lap lanes for serious swimmers, which I was a fan of. there's a lazy river to ride inflatable tubes on, as well as a few slides. there's a small shack to buy hot dogs, burgers, ice cream, and other snacks. overall, I had a good time, even though I had to watch my cousins' kids
