In honor of my 800th review, I had to dedicate it to one of my favorite bars of ALL TIME. While visiting Montreal with my buddies, we ended our night at La Distillerie in hope of a chill, laidback night over drinks, and this place was the perfect spot for it.
Our quick ten minute wait allowed us to converse with the friendly bouncer and he seated us once a table was available. The place was dimly lit and the crowd was very lively and mellow at the same time. A party near us was celebrating a bachelor's/bro's birthday party while other smaller parties were casually enjoying their conversations over yummy drinks.
I cannot express how yummy and dangerously delicious the drinks are here. The menu is very informative and helpful in telling you how strong a drink is and what it looks like and what it would taste like. And most drinks come in adorable hipster mason jars or huge glasses.
I would recommend the Hurricane, Nostalgie, or Pepito Pasteque. They were all very yummy!
Whether you are visiting Montreal or looking for a place for a night out in town with your buddies, La Distillerie is the perfect place! And a bonus about this place is that it is open until 3 AM EVERYDAY!
