A neighbor, whose hair is lovely, recommended Wendy, the salon owner, to me. My red hair is difficult to color and retain a natural look. The first few times I went, I was very pleased with the color. Wendy had nailed it! Then, a few months ago, I thought it was too dark, and the sides too long. I very nicely asked her to lighten it, and recut the sides. She did so, saying it was "no problem." It took all of 15 minutes. The next time I tried to schedule an appointment, I was told that Wendy was out of town, and I was scheduled with another stylist. However, when I got to the salon, Wendy was there. I commented about this, and was informed that her trip was cancelled. Several weeks later, I called for another appointment and got the same excuse-out of town! A few days later, I received a call from the girl at the front desk telling me that Wendy did not think I was a "good fit" for her, and that one of the other stylists would be happy to accommodate me. Anyone who owns a business, especially one as personal as a hair salon, should be able to accept the politely presented comments of a customer. The fact that she was not professional enough to call herself to discuss this with me, says more about her than this review.
