I was pretty hesitant about going to Dr. Liu's office after reading all the reviews online. All the comments made about his staff was pretty concerning but I booked my appointment anyway the day before for something I had been holding for 6 months.
When I got there, it was fairly empty and by the time I finished my paperwork and they called for me, there was about 7 people in the waiting room. What I thought would be a little procedure for removal in my arm ended up not happening that morning. Instead, Dr. Liu gave me a consultation and then asked if I wanted to get a pap smear. Honestly, I was not ready mentally or physically for that but I figured I could get it out of the way. (Not the kind of action I was expecting when I went into my appointment, haha.) It was quick and easy.
So I went back today for the removal. I got a little nervous because I forgot to bring my insurance card but it looks like they got everything they needed my first visit. (Yay!) Eventually went into this scary open room they call the "Sterile Room". I was honestly building up the procedure in my mind with each minute of waiting. Once Dr. Liu saw me, it was again quick and easy. During the procedure, he asked me what I'm going to do after. I then said, "go home" and he laughed. He was talking about birth control but he appreciated the humor.
Overall, I had a pleasant experience. The staff was friendly to me and appreciate the light humor. The wait time wasn't terrible at all and I appreciate that they got me in so soon. Dr. Liu told me as long as I have my pap on record, I can call in for whatever I need instead of coming in which I also appreciate. As I mentioned, they made it pretty quick and easy.
