Upper Cut meats in the St. Lawrence Market is my go-to butcher. Right around the corner from my office, they offer a great selection of cuts at very reasonable prices. So why Upper Cut over the other butchers in the market? It all comes down to customer service, their staff are super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They will even vacuum-seal your meat for no additional cost, which comes in handy if you are buying to freeze. Here are a couple of my go-to items at Upper Cut: Pre-skewered souvlaki: super cheap and marinated well, my favourites are the beef and chicken. And at $1.25 per skewer, you can't go wrong! Butterflied Pork chops: Super reasonable in terms of price and very good quality. Perfect for BBQing! Filet Mignon: They come in a variety of sizes I tend to stick with the extra large. At $5 each, they are a super great deal. Check them out next time you are in the area. You won't be disappointed!
