I was tenant for many years when I was young and have been a landlord for 14 years of 2 rental homes of which I was one of the good landlords so my tenants never had issues with me and leased with me for years because of it. When my son rented and apartment in Tempe with me as the guarantor, all was fine for the year. He is a clean and quite kid. Upon moving out we cleaned the apartment to perfection (every crevice ) and I knew what was required per lease . He had a $125 refundable deposit. Had a move out inspection scheduled but did not get one as promised and then received a bill for $90 for apartment cleaning as well as $150 for carpet dying and stretching ? So I googled Arizona Tenants Rights and came to Arizona Tenants Advocates and Association. Briefly talked with Ken who set me in the right direction to fight their unreasonable billing. He knows the laws and the website is a fantastic! I feel hopeful the matter will be resolved to our satisfaction. I highly recommend using his services.
