It was in better shape when Maryvale closed than what it was today. Dry and bare spots everywhere. Sand traps need to be maintained better although there is sand in them but there is grass growing down in the middle of them which is never good. Cart paths are nice. The course has plenty of tees to choose from to suit your game. It's much shorter from the reds than it used to be. It was definitely built for college/tournament golf with all the sand bunkers that have been put in and where they are. Greens and tees were good. Fairways/roughs not so much. 2 and 1/2 stars. Staff was nice in the golf shop.
