I have been a patient for a few years and really haven't really needed anything until a couple of weeks ago. Right now I need a referral to see a pain management doctor and have been getting nowhere with her office. I always get a recorded message from her assistant which says they will call you back within 24 hours and that has not happened and then when I talk to someone it seems I am getting the runaround. The pain management place said the referral has to come from Dr. Venkat because she is my primary doctor and her staff says that the orthopedic doctor is handling it so I am getting nowhere.
