My first visit to the area and picked a hotel near the downtown action of Charlotte.
This Hyatt was unique for a couple of reasons:
1. They had valet parking. Normally, I wouldn't want to pay for parking, BUT it was freezing outside and I was glad to hand over the car to someone at the door, plus the valets in the evening and morning were very friendly. (Valet cost $22)
2. Its a shared building. Hotel takes up a few floors of the building and you have to take an elevator up to the hotel lobby on 7th floor.
Otherwise, pretty standard Hyatt Place. Oh wait, I did enjoy the downtown night and morning view of Charlotte. Clerks at the front desk were friendly and helpful.
