Since we received a 2 for 1 entree postcard, we decided to try the Northside Cafe on a Sunday night. Super busy--had to wait in a fairly efficient/organized line. Nice atmosphere/cool booths/retro chairs/nicely done interior.
The service was extremely slow--cordial enough, but oh so slow! Perhaps it was all the hungry tourists, or maybe all the locals came in for the 2 for one deal?
The food: Mixed reaction here: Husband said it was "good"--even though they brought him a different entree than what he ordered (he was too hungry to send it back)...I found the Chinese cuisine to be simply meh--not horrible, but not Wow! or anything.
Will we go back again? Yes, probably for a 2 for 1 deal--but will most likely do a salad or a sandwich--since the Chinese cuisine didn't cut the mustard for me.
Nice that it's open 24/7 and has a wide variety of menu items.
