I wish I wasn't a member of this credit union because they've removed the human element! You walk into the credit union to be greeted by 2 huge ATM machines. They still have staff but they're in their offices. After a moment, someone came out to great us. She was pleasant enough. She helped my friend withdraw money from the machine from his social security debit card. The process took forever b/c there were so many additional steps (as compared to other banks we've used). The huge machines have a screen with an interactive teller which is located in another location. The teller was in a cubicle with a gray wall. It was so depressing and drab. Additionally, the two frightening large ATM machines don't serve the same clientele. One is for InTouch credit union members only and the second machine serves InTouch credit union members AND other non-members. For that day, we were at the machine that everyone wanted. As a result, there was a long line behind us (and as I mentioned, the process took a long time) so the mob was getting restless. I felt bad for them even though it wasn't our fault. I feel that this credit union has made a terrible mistake by removing their tellers. The only justification I can imagine for this move was if their only other choice was to go out of business OR switch to this new system. I'm skeptical that they were about to go out of business! Boo to them. I may switch to another bank or credit union just b/c of this change!!!
