If you are passing through Vegas and need to get your car looked at, this is the place!!! My boyfriend and I were on our way to Utah from California when the AC in his 88' Landcruiser bit the dust. We tried stopping at a place in Barstow to get it fixed, but since its an older car and it takes R12 (which we had two cans of!!) the people wouldn't even help us simply because they didn't feel like putting in the extra work! When we got to Vegas we called 5 Star Auto and spoke with Bobby, who was nothing but nice, and he told us to come on in - even though they were set to close in the next half an hour - talk about a sigh of relief after dealing with the last car place. When we got there Bobby helped us right away! You could tell he was so enthusiastic about working with older cars and really respected the cars in and of themselves, and just wanted to do a good job for them and their owner!! He continued to restore our faith in humanity when he tried to put the R12 in the car and found there was a BFH (big fucking hole) somewhere (meaning our attempt to get cold air was fruitless and we wasted some pretty precious stuff trying ), and after exhausting all other options and knowing we were on the road/couldn't stay the extra day or two it would take to get it worked on, he wished us well and sent us on our way without charging us a dime for looking at the car! Now a days, with people trying to squeeze money out of you left and right every time you take your car to get looked at or have to pay a bill, its amazing to know there are still decent people out there that just genuinely want to help. If you are in Vegas and need to get your car fixed, this is definitely a place you can trust to do a good, honest job!! Thanks again Bobby!!!
