DO NOT buy a used car from this place. I bought a 2002 Golf TDI (the black one in one of his pictures) from this "mechanic" who did not disclose thousands of dollars of needed repairs. He "forgot" that the sway bar on this car had been cut and frame notched so the car could be lowered so far to the ground the subframe was ground away where the control arms mount.
He told me he had recently charged the air conditioning compressor when I asked why it didn't work and when I took it to an A/C shop they said the whole thing was shot.
Both front wheel bearings were making a metal on metal scraping sound that I first thought was just the brake dust covers rubbing but within 10 seconds my mechanic at home knew it was the wheel bearings. Somehow he hadn't heard the noise even though he said he had been using it as a daily driver.
A glow plug was seized in the engine which I figure he knew about because he tried to fix the glow plug error code by replacing the harness but not the glow plugs themselves.
I flew to Phoenix to buy this car and all of this was discovered after I drove the car back to California
I thought I was safe and didn't need a buying inspection because he was a VW mechanic but really it ended up costing me over $3000 to repair once I got the car home to California
