I'm pretty surprised at the 5 star reviews. I was in Vegas with my boyfriend and was looking for some shows to watch. I was hesitant at first to purchase tickets to the 50 Shades parody since he is clueless about Twilight and 50 Shades other than that they're popular with the ladies. After reading these reviews it sounded like men were just as entertained as women and the jokes weren't too corny, etc. so I went ahead and ordered tickets. Anyway, we were both pretty disappointed, he more than me. There were a few things that made us laugh but I found most of it to be pretty juvenile and not much different than jokes you would read about the book in blog and Facebook commentary. I feel like the abusiveness of Christian Grey and the stupidity/naivety of Anastasia has already sort of discussed to death. Overall I felt very meh. I don't know if I would have felt different if I were a fan of the books? My boyfriend, a total newb to the storyline, seemed pretty bored the whole time.
As a side note, I also wasn't a fan of the room the show was in. Would have preferred raised seating rather than level seating where you could have ended up with bad luck and someone tall sitting in front of you.
