I recently moved to another state and got my new state's driver's license. I called Progressive to see about getting a policy for that state, and the CS person said my policy in my former state was fine, yet the new state's DMV quickly informed me otherwise, and I was facing an Intent to Suspend.
Mindy in Florida, a "supervisor" who kept telling me she understood my frustration, did nothing but make excuses for Progressive's customer service on their policies vs. the governmental requirements.
It is an insurance company's job to properly inform a customer of the new state's laws. It is their job to know, and to ensure that a customer is not covered in a different state.
