We had a large group that attended. The service was outstanding. Our server was pleasant and very helpful, often coming to our table to see if anything was needed. The atmosphere is also very nice. Being in Philips Place, it has a comfortable feel and is very pleasantly decorated. I personally got the seasonal vegetable risotto with shrimp. The risotto was a bit undercooked as the rice had a bite to it, but it was edible. A few people got the trout almandine and liked it. One person gave me a bite of her beef to sample and it was like a pot roast - would have been better with a reduced wine or gravy sauce. One lady got the crab cakes and said they were ok, but she was from Maryland and had some expectations :-) One person got the mussels and really liked it. A couple of people got the pizza and it was so-so. But hey, you're at a French restaurant afterall, and you order pizza ? The cheese plates were VERY good quality cheeses and I highly recommend them for a nice starter. Overall, go for the service and atmosphere. You will have a lovely time.
