I finally got around to trying Savor, a year after it was first recommended to me. And I'm kicking myself for missing out on a year of good eats!
Savor reminds me of a French bistro, in the purest sense of the word. The short menu is focused on high quality ingredients, combined in delicious, surprising ways. Horseradish mashed potatoes... salty sweet potato hash... and an amazing gin-and-strawberry-and-basil cocktail. I wouldn't call this Southern food, but many of the menu items have uniquely Southern touches, like the moist, rich, delectable Coca-Cola cake. Learn from my mistakes and put Savor at the top of your "to-try" list!
