Very disappointed with their breakfast food. We came in on a Saturday morning and it was pretty busy. Started by ordering drinks - they don't carry any decaf coffee! For a breakfast joint not to offer an option of decaf coffee is pretty unheard of. For those of us who can't have caffeine or don't want to have caffeine, you will not be getting a cup of jo with your breakfast. My husband's cappuccino was good, but we've had better.
Now, onto the actual food. I ordered Farmer's omelet and my husband ordered El Jefe omelet. Farmer's was completely unseasoned to the point where it tasted so bland I would call it inedible. I called our waitress back and asked if they forgot to season it. She told me that we don't actually salt our food very much. I wasn't specifically talking about salt, but seasoning in general. I reiterated that there is zero seasoning in my food and it tastes very bland, and she offered me salsa in return. Salsa helped, but then all I could taste was the salsa. After it was all done I walked away very unsatisfied with my food.
El Jefe was better, but again, not something to write home about. The toast that it came with was also pretty bland. Overall I think they are going for minimal clean ingredients, but ultimately failed at it because they served us food that tastes bad. Healthy food doesn't have to taste bland.
