I was intrigued by this place, which I have been passing on a regular basis, in recent times. Why? Because I have an unhealthy thrift store fascination, and any that falls outside of the usual Value Village, Goodwill or Salvation army categories is a bit of an anomaly (not including Kensington-type boutiques). And so this is.
I couldn't help but include the dollar-sign in place of an "S" as their sign does, cuz that's reason enough to go right there. It's a small place, with a no-nonsense collection of racks, pretty much one for each type of garment. I didn't have enough time to really show off my expert sifting technique, but I still managed to spot a couple gems. They had a few cool pieces of jewelry and other knick knacks in the glass case at the front, but I need more of those right now probably less than a gaping hole in my skull. So I restrained myself.
Is restrain the right word? Cuz the only reason I ignored the urge to scavenge was because I took home* the king of all knick knacks, a commemorative Norman Rockwell (only proven in a little plaque appearing on the wood stand) floor globe! The man even allowed me to put it on hold for a day, as I tried to justify my purchase by "sleeping on it" (metaphorically). This place is awwright.
*That's a lie. I didn't take it home yet, cuz it was too damn big.
