I've only been to Chicago a couple of times, and I never had a hot dog while I was there. I went for the pizza instead. If this is how they do burgers and hot dogs up in the Windy City though, I'm jealous. Matt's Chicago Dog is a great place for lunch, dinner, snack-time, etc. Despite the simple menu, there are a lot of variations on the typical burgers/hot dogs/sandwiches theme. I have eaten the cheeseburgers and fries here on numerous occasions, and tasted a loaded-down hot dog...very good. The interior isn't the biggest, and it can be tough to find a seat during lunch rush some days. However, I've found its worth the wait or adjusting feeding time in order to lap up some of the Chicago-style goodness. Prices are good too...easily out for under $10, and usually less than that.
