Our flight was scheduled to leave at 9 AM. As 9 o'clock approached and we hadn't begun boarding, we were told the flight would be delayed until 9:30. Never mind the fact that we were at the airport hours in advance and the plane had been sitting there in sight the whole time. As 9:30 approached, we were told they were awaiting maintenance. At 9:45, we boarded. Everyone was in their seats and impatiently waiting. Surprise! An overhead compartment was broken and had to be duct taped. Issue another maintenance call for someone to duct tape the overhead. Accomplished, yes! Oh wait, we need someone to sign off on the duct tape maintenance that was just performed. Overall, our flight was delayed 2 hours.. for maintenance reasons that could've been dealt with long before our departure time. Once we had arrived at our destination, they let us off the plane only to realize the doors were not open to the airport. More waiting. Went to to check the screen for baggage claim - our flight wasn't even listed. Everyone stood around clueless until we found someone to ask. It took at least 10 minutes before they announced where we should look. I'd much rather pay extra money to avoid the inconvenience. The airline nickels and dimes you anyway. Carry on bag? Fee. Choose your seat? Fee. A drink during flight? Fee. We wanted to purchase two Diet Cokes, but the plane wasn't even stocked. This airline did nothing right. Unfortunately, we purchased a round trip. Never again.
