It makes a change to find a place that is serving traditional pub grub that is home made, well this is one the Denison Arms is located in the village of East Ayton near Scarborough. This place was recommended to us by the guy who ran the caravan site we where staying at nearby, he did warn us not to have a starter though as he said we wouldn't eat the main course, and how right he was. I opted for the 32oz steak and yes it did beat me, the chips (which I don't normally have) where home made as where the onion rings. My partner's steak and ale pie was also excellent and I couldn't complain about value for money. we enjoyed it that much we returned on the Sunday before heading home again. The Beef salad my Partner had was excellent not just a slice of beef and cloth lettuce, but a few good thick tender slices of beef with a salad complimented with allsorts including melon and all the trimmings as was the duck I had. We will look forward to visiting here again.
