Friendly front desk staff, clean, decent food on site and better places to eat within walking distance. Yes they charge for parking. So does every other downtown hotel in America. HGI hotels are built for business travel, so thIs hotel had everything I wanted in my room: free WiFi that actually works, power outlets at your fingertips to charge stuff, bright lights so you can read, and a hot shower. My only knock on my room is they have an adjustable mattress similar to Sleep Number where you can adjust firmness with a dial, but mine didn't work so you kind of sank into a pit. Tip: odd numbered rooms have a view of the freeway. Even numbers have a view of downtown. All in all, a good stay. There was a high school marching band staying here my first night and I never heard them once I was in my room. That's pretty good.
