If there is one thing in Phoenix to avoid, the 1st Friday is it. Zero art. Overwhelming crowds. Jesus freaks by the dozen bellowing out their lies, tons of pitchless musicians adding to the din. How does anyone bring small children and small dogs to this event to only be trampled underfoot? Tackie, tackie, tackie. Vendors selling junk. Hang at Phoenix Art Museum and skip this freak fest.
