If you would like to over spend for mediocre service, Massage Envy is the place for you! I can say that as a member for over a year, I am not cancelling my account soon enough. I have been to a couple locations and have received pretty good massages and facials, but nothing special. Additionally, the amount of red tape it takes to do things, is not really worth the trouble. I get especially frustrated upon paying my $59.99 monthly fee, then an additional $10 product fee, for a facial and then not getting a full hour. (The estheticians always cut into my time by asking me the SAME questions about my skin and preferences every time.) It is not my fault there is a lot of turnover...why can't they just save my paper work?? They also make them relay everything they are doing and every product they are using, while they do it. I DON'T CARE JUST LET ME RELAX! I told one of the girls this once and she told me it was part of their procedure. I have since realized this is done in an attempt to sell me as much Murad products as possible. I am trying to relax- not get pushed into buying over priced skin care. Their massages are okay. Honestly, I decided I should just go to a beauty or massage therapy school, for half the price and at the very least, the same quality. I called to cancel my account (they make you go in person and provide written notice within 30 days- fine) and was informed the credits I had gifted to people (I payed $10 each to transfer them) will go away with my account. So if I want to cancel, I need to call the people I gave the massages too and tell them to please use them sooner than later. That is NOT how that process was originally explained to me. Now I am stuck in this stupid contract, so my friends don't lose the massages I ALREADY PAID FOR (plus the $10 each to transfer). This company just wants your money and are not willing to do much to earn it.
