My friend and I wandered in after a dinner up the street looking for a little dessert and noticed the selection of goods they had on display in here. We loaded up on a few bbq pork buns (yes, that counts as dessert when you love Chinese bbq pork as much as I do), as well as a few sweet ones like the wintermelon pastry and the egg yolk tart.
I'd say that about half the stuff we sampled was good and the other half just okay.
The bbq pork bun for example, was delicious. The pastry was flaky and soft, and the inside had juicy little bits of pork smothered in that traditional sweet sauce (which had kind of seeped into a few layers of the pastry and made it even tastier).
The other sweet buns were fairly boring and not very memorable - with the exception of the wintermelon, which had a refreshing and light taste that wasn't overpoweringly sweet.
As mentioned though, their selection is huge and I would definitely love to come back to chow down on some of their other treats. If there's a solid selection of consistently delicious products I'll be back to upgrade this review for sure.
