Many cyclists only go to their "local bike shop" (read, not a chain store) and look down upon shops like Performance. The performance bike in Pittsburgh is different. They have always had solid mechanics and I never feel like they are trying hard to sell me something. I started going to Performance because it was convenient. I now go because I genuinely like the employees and the shop. They always have specials, printable online coupons, and will price match any local shop within 25 miles. If you want a specialty bike that only a local shop carries, then so be it. If you need anything else, give Performance a try.
