I was highly disappointed in the service I had when trying to book an event at the Pittsburgh Dance Center. I had a verbal agreement to rent their space for an event. The owner was leaving town for vacation and too busy to meet to sign the contract so she delayed a few weeks. I asked do I have your word that the space is reserved for us and was told yes of course. Two days before we were supposed to meet she called me to tell me that a larger group that was paying "top dollar" wanted the space so they gave our slot to them. I just wouldn't recommend taking the owners word. What is a person if not their word? I guess this is the modern area where things are only set if they are signed. I received this mesage from the Pgh Dance center through Yelp "We have our laywers involved on your slander review. You are CRAZY! You had an appointment to "See" the place only....you admitted ou had NEVER been there before! It did not guaranee any space what so ever!!!! You are in the wrong!" Just to reiterate, no I never saw the space. I only had a verbal agreement and promise that it was held for us.
