Be sure to secure financing before bothering to shop here. My fiancé and I purchased a vehicle from Autonation Toyota Tempe after banking hours on a Friday. We traded in one of our vehicles toward our new truck, and drove home. We called back on Monday to double check who financing would be through in order to provide the information to our insurance company. That Thursday I received an alert for an inquiry on my credit report. I checked, and then called the dealership's financing department. I was told they were going through a different lender and they would contact me if any changes came up. My fiancé arrived home later that day after spending about $1,000 on upgrades to his truck, and I explained what was going on. He called the financing department also and was told everything was fine they were just working through details but it wasn't a problem.
Now, we can't even get a finance manager to take either of our calls. I've had some pretty unremarkable service from this dealership in the past, as our family has purchased five vehicles from them, but I've never had such an awful experience with any car dealer before.
