Been visiting Heavenly Delights for over a year. They have a nice assortment of cakes and cookies - my favorites being the chickpea cookies and the pomegranate and pistachio-flavored cakes. Normally, the cakes are fresh and moist. What compelled me to write this review however, is that on this most recent visit (09/21), I bought 6 cake slices for my family and the sponge cake on every single piece was stale - not just regular stale, but almost crumbly hard. Furthermore, the cakes had a freezer taste that I had never experienced before. I don't remember the last time I ate cake that is so hard and old-tasting, like cake that has been frozen, defrosted, and unsold for days. The most disappointing part is that this local shop was one of the reliable go to places for the occasional small sweet treat. I hope this was a one off because after this appalling experience, it's very hard to go back.
