This is a review of the Genius Bar at this store. I had a problem with the connection between my charger and the phone so set up an appointment. If I had not had previous appointments at Apple Stores, I would have been very confused about what to do. There are no signs in the store or instructions posted about where to go for you appointment. Unlike other Apple Stores I have been in, there wasn't even a counter at the back labeled as the Genius Bar. But I knew enough to check in with a staff member, who told me someone would come and get me. I'm not sure how they would know who I was, but I waited in the back area of the store and about 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment someone came up to me and asked I was Mark. I explained the problem, he took a quick look and determined that the connection port just needed to be cleaned out. This is what I was hoping for. What I liked was that this small repair was done gratis. My phone was brought back in a couple of minutes and now it charges just fine. It's nice that Apple doesn't nickel and dime you for small things like this. My phone is way past warranty and I don't have AppleCare, so they easily could have charged if they wanted to, and tried to persuade me to trade up for a newer model.
