Went for super bowl . Had a nice time but the waiter was extremely pushy. He insisted we had to have one of the alcohol packages . We only wanted iced tea and my 13 yr old wanted a coke . The waiter literally told us my sons coke would not be refillable unless we had the $48 alcohol wristbands for myself and husband. Annoyed but we just agreed and went on with our time there . At the end we received the bill with 20% gratuity added in . Waiter didn't mention it of course . I asked on their FB page since when did they add automatic gratuity for 3 people ? I was asked to call Anna and told they do not auto gratuity 3 people . She was so nice and apologetic . Told me she would speak to GM . Anna called back and said the GM wanted me to come in today at 4pm. I told her I had hurt my foot and it wasn't easy for me to drive but would have my husband take me .
Went at 4pm to Speak to GM (assuming the owner ) . He was extremely defensive , rude , kept saying clearly I didn't want to tip the $55 I had tipped . He kept telling me that the auto gratuity was optional and only suggested . WHAT A LIE ! The bill total included the gratuity . Since when do you have the option to not pay your total bill due ? He then told me he would Speak to the server about the pushy attitude he had but that it was still just a suggested gratuity ?!? So , i asked why he asked me to come there when I live 20 min away when he wasn't trying to make the situation right , only arguing with me . He said I had no reason to come in ?!? This place is an absolute joke ! I only went in as they asked me to .
He said he would give me back whatever part of the tip I wanted . Even proceeded to tell me that the waiter had brought me $55 change while I was at the restaurant ?? The bill was 265.00 .. I gave $280 .. how would he have brought me $55 in change. lol . The waiter never came back with any kind of change .
I ended up telling him quite frankly his customer service skills were shocking and I didn't come up there for free with my husband and kids in the car so I would just take my tip back . Way to earn business . Been there many times with larger parties and will NEVER be back .
Was warned by 2 former employees this guy was horrid but definitely saw that for myself now .
*I was curious about the auto gratuity but My real complaint was only about being told to spend $48x2 people for my son to get refills on his drink . GM turned this into a tip issue and made me look cheap so fine I'll take my tip and give it to someone who wants my business . Thx !
