I love this place. I discovered Scramble a couple of years ago, and fell in love with their brizzas (breakfast pizzas... clever, right?), various scrambles and omelettes, and jalepeno corn bread. Great sides, too. Oh, and bottomless coffee... and free WiFi. One year I actually did all of my Christmas shopping from a laptop at Scramble while enjoying some tasty food and milking cup after cup of coffee. I left feeling satisfied (although maybe a bit jittery). Last year, though, my husband and I got into the plant-based craze and mostly swore off eggs and dairy. I mourned the loss of this great breakfast option... because although there were lots of vegetarian items on the menu, finding an egg-less option at a breakfast joint named "Scramble" just wasn't going to happen. For months I ignored this place when I drove by, then one day I happened to see their most recent menu online... and to my amazement, found they had added an entire vegan menu! The next morning, we savored a vegan breakfast burrito and vegan scramble, along with this great sweet-potato based side dish they serve with the veg options. Will be returning another time for the vegan french toast, too! They even use different utensils and plates for serving their vegan items and different pots and stuff in the kitchen. The waitress said those items have become hugely popular. Another bonus? Bottomless coffee with soy milk in a container with all the other creamers. Since pretty much every other coffee shop charges a premium for soy milk, that was just one more bonus. And if you want something cold, they have amazing, tasty iced teas from a local tea company in Tempe. Yum. I'm back in love.
