My wife flew on this airline from Orlando to Concord NC a month ago. Her luggage was damaged during the flight. We went to the ticket counter but it was close. We asked the officer there what to do. He held up a display that said to call a number if the counter was closed. We took pictures of the damage in front of the officer and showed him the issue as well. We called and reported the damage and the operator said it was noted on the ticket confirmation number in their system but that I had to email pictures to an email address at Allegiant for baggage claims. I have since sent the email no less than 5 times and no reply in over a month. This is beyond ridiculous. They are a low fare airline so beware they will cut corners when they can. For instance not taking care of luggage they damaged and just ignoring the consumer. What a sad state as I was really a fan of theirs. But the fact that they do not even reply in over a month shows me their true colors. So after I post on FB I get an email from the baggage claim team stating the claim had been recorded and at the bottom of the email stated "customer accepted replacement." Immediately after that I get a long email stating they will not cover it and it is not their fault. No reply phone number and they hide behind email. Cheap flights, cheap service, no accountability, pilots afraid to fly for them, the oldest planes in the country.. Not good news. They damaged the bag, no one else and they won't even take care of it. Good luck to anyone flying them.
