A friend invited me to participate in a Party Pedaling event a few days ago as part of her birthday celebration. I checked the website prior to going so I already knew you could not drink on the bike. I was actually more concerned with my comfort since I am a tall person and some bikes do not fit me but I didn't have any problem here. This is really a fun event. Yes, you have to work a little but if you take the NoDa trip, it's only 3 hills and the last one is to get the Pedaler into the garage. We pedaled to Heist Brewery, Growler's Pourhouse, around the hood in NoDa, to Salud and then back to the starting point. You only stay at each stop for a short amount of time - maybe 20-30 minutes...enough to have one drink. But it was quite fun. I think one of the best things about it is all the stares and pictures you get from people passing by. A few friends and I are already thinking about doing this again in the fall. I think NoDa is the perfect location for this. I hear PP is also trying to work it out so you can drink on the pedaler.
