Went for an oil change and was told they absolutely could NOT use regular oil, had to be synthetic per new regs they learned in recent "oil training class". I have a hemi 5.7 engine, and supposed training would not allow regular oil. 3k miles ago they gave me regular oil no questions asked. I had my 1 year old with me and was trying to walk home before it got hot so agreed after explaining that fact and again being told they weren't even "allowed" to use non synthetic on my engine. I later checked my car manual and there is 0 mention of needing synthetic.... so, whose lying?
