Sears, a five-star review? Yes, that's right Sears gets 5 Stars!
Two weeks ago our washer and dryer decided they'd had enough weren't going to deliver clean, dry clothes any more. I'd made purchases at local appliance stores a couple times and they were okay, but Sears was offering some attractive President's Day deals, so heck why not give them a try.
Like most people I started my shopping online and had a Samsung model picked out. Then for kicks I looked at the Kenmore Elite brand and found an acceptable choice. To complete the transaction we went to the store and were taken care of by Mike. Then the light went off, he sold us our dishwasher a few years ago.
Mike took a lot of time and explained the differences between the two models and was very knowledgeable. When we settled on the Kenmore Elite he took us through all the offers which increased our savings even more. (Sears has lots of great deals.) Delivery was scheduled and a few days later the washer and dryer were installed. We couldn't be happier.
A couple points:
1. On a major purchase like this it pays to go to the store to complete the transaction. I don't think I would have figured out the savings and rebates online. $300 Mail-In Rebate; $100 Sears Gift Card at Purchase and it was cheaper to buy the washer with the Pedestal Washer than without. Mike was great!
2. With all the incentives we received on the washer and dryer it paid for a new vacuum which needed replaced too. This purchase was completed online. I went to the store to pick it up, they pulled the order in less than a minute and even loaded into my trunk for me. Amazon doesn't do that.
Now head out to Sears or over to their website and do some shopping.
