Another 5 years has lapsed and yet again I pay a visit to this passport office. Getting the 10-year passport, yeah!
The location works well for me. It is TTC accessible stopping at Sheppard station. If you drive you can park at the Sheppard Centre, on the street or side streets.
The office is on the third floor and there is a lot signage to guide you in the right direction.
A lot of the passport forms are available online and PDF fillable. I filled in the forms before arriving and than got my photo done instantly at the Shoppers inside the Sheppard Centre the day of. I strongly recommend you get all your documents completed on advance and correctly.
There are two lines you go through.
The first line is to make sure your documents are correct and all information is presented. This took me 15 minutes including the lineup time, but the passport officer was able to check all my paperwork within 2 mins. He gave me a ticket and I proceeded to the waiting room.
The waiting room has over 20 service desks, not all desks had a rep but most were filled. I waited no more than 15 minutes to get serviced.
All-in-all I was in and out including getting my passport photo less than 30 minutes.
Please keep in mind I was getting my passport renewed only. My saving grace was I completed all my forms in advance and I did them correctly. I also had all my required documents with me.
