Here is yet another building that sacrifices practicality in an attempt to be 'cool' and/or 'different'. The engineers who built this structure must have been drunk or it is very possible the place was actually designed by monkeys. The new building is an improvement over the old one certainly except that they FORGOT WINDOWS! The "Fitness" room - which is glass from floor to ceiling on 2 of 4 walls - is better suited to raising tropical plants than housing a group of sweaty dancers or martial artists. The tiny door is hardly big enough to get any sort of air flow and the narrow hallway leading to the fitness room has an interior gym off of it too, which always has it's door open, competing for oxygen and adding to the heat coefficient on the second floor. You can only imagine the miasma of body odor that hits you before you even start mounting the stairs, and it isn't even summer yet! Most of the other rooms are standard gray tile floors with basic gray tables and chairs. The rental prices are decent although you'll have to wait several weeks for approval of your application. The place is kept very clean and the employees for the most part are very friendly and helpful. The small gym costs money to use but the running track is free. There are basketball nets in the parking lot nestled right among the parking spots and kids WILL play next to your car and won't care that their ball bounced off your hood. One cool feature of the building is that it collects the rainwater from the roof and feeds the pond right beside it, but other than that it is a pretty no-frills set-up. This is one instance when I can say our tax dollars were well spent.
