I had an inguinal hernia and thought it wasn't a big deal. My wife is a Post Anesthesia Care Unit RN who takes care of patients coming out of surgery and she sees hernia surgeries get screwed up all the time. She sees patients coming back 3 or more times to have painful hernia surgeries cleared up. She also told me that the mesh many surgeons use was the problem. I went to Dr. Peterson because he does not use mesh. In fact my research indicates that he fixes other surgeon's mistakes in this area. I have insurance, and had to pay out of pocket to get this office's services. The end cost was probably close to what I would have paid for Deductibles for my insurance that really didn't let me pick the surgery or the technique that was used. Take the time to study Dr. Peterson's CV. I came to the conclusion that he was well qualified. My wife, the RN, agreed when she met him for the pre-op appointment. The surgery went well and I have referred two friends who also are satisfied with their outcomes as well.
