I think Chef Wade is too big for his britches. I sampled his food in April of this year at an event and thought it was pretty good--reasonable prices, interesting selection and... different. So, I went ahead and booked him for our community block party that would be happening in November. Yes, it was a ways off, but we had had trouble getting food trucks at our event previously, so I wanted to ensure we were able to get one this year. Chef Wade emailed a response indicating that he had"...placed you in the calendar and you are booked." Great. Fast forward to early Sept. I emailed Chef Wade to re-confirm the reservation. He replies, "I am unfortunately going to need to cancel myself. I had a clients Daughter get engaged and they booked me for their wedding that same day. I know this arrises an inconvenience for you and am happy to give recommendations..." Yeah. Terribly unprofessional to book one client, then decide that a better payoff was to be had with a second client and just renege on the first... WITHOUT TELLING HER! (I should tell you that our other vendors still have us in their calendars.) So, now we need to scramble to find another food truck or caterer for our event, when we thought we had it all covered well ahead of time. NEVER BOOK CHEF WADE'S BISTRO ON WHEELS IF YOU EXPECT FOLLOW-THROUGH ON AN AGREEMENT.
