This is the type of old skool italian deli I'm used to finding out on the East Coast. The people who own it come from the old country (Sicily) and know what they're doing. Good, no frills service that's quick and efficient. Now I have a caveat...although I've come here many times I've only ordered the meatball sub, cause it's the best in town. The meatballs are made the right way, covered with a good marinara and mozzarella, then toasted, giving the edges of the bread a crispy texture that juxtaposes well against the tender meatballs. My only beef with this place is the price. They used to be really cheap, closer to 5 bucks for lunch, now it's closer to 10. But they make up for it once I bite into that sub. A coworker gets the eyetalian sub and it's packed with so much meat he eats on it for 2 days. But for me, Cugino's is all about the meatball sub.
